Amorphous Pharmaceutical Product Development Using Containerless Methods

Project: Research project

Grant Details

Description

Professor Yarger has been actively involved in a long-term collaboration with Dr. Richard Weber and the NIH SBIR project entitled, 'Amorphous Pharmaceutical Product Development Using Containerless Methods. A subcontract to ASU is required to complete the molecular structure and thermodynamics of amorphous pharmaceuticals using DSC and NMR spectroscopy that will be directed by Prof. Yarger and his research group at Arizona State University. State of the art NMR and DSC equipment at ASU has been acquired under the direction of Prof. Yarger for molecular characterization and this NIH project is one of the critical molecular pharmaceutical collaboration projects. Our research team at ASU will perform synthesis, NMR, XRD and DSC studies on amorphous pharmaceuticals with a goal of determining detailed molecular structure and dynamics.
