CHIF: Luce Foundation Cost Share Student (ASUF 30005923) Carnegie Humanities Investment Fund (CHIF) - Carnegie Funds The Carnegie Humanities Investment Fund (CHIF) comprises $500,000 provided by the Carnegie Foundation to President Crow for academic leadership along with $500,000 matched by the presidents office for a two-year project that serves to seed innovative collaborative humanities research projects. CHIF funding is provided through commitments between $20,000 and $100,000. CHIF supports efforts within humanities disciplines and projects that bridge the humanities and other disciplines. CHIF funds infrastructure, not the research itself, providing ground-level support that allows investigators to apply for and carry out the large research projects that they envision.
