Experts: Continued Support for the Digital Research Infrastructure for Arizona's 21st Century Universities' Research Enterprise Continued Support for the Digital Research Infrastructure for Arizona's 21st Century Universities' Research Enterprise How the project advances one or more of the enterprise initiatives By enabling our Universities faculty, researchers, staff and students to quickly coordinate research teams to respond funding opportunities, this project will broadly enhance research across disciplines and support our faculties leading edge scholarship and state of the art research goals that are at the heart of our Enterprises research initiatives. How the project will benefit the citizens of Arizona By providing a public resource to engage and understand the research, discovery and innovation occurring across our universities, Experts provides a direct benefit to the citizens of Arizona. How the project involves collaboration between Arizonas public universities The Arizona Public Universities implementation of Elseviers Experts is clearly a tri--university collaboration, and continued funding for this project stands to further enhance collaboration across Arizonas Public Universities by enabling the identification of complimentary capabilities and areas of research expertise, potentially catalyzing large inter--institutional research initiatives. Encouraging matching financial assistance from private industry or the federal government The Experts system serves as a platform for research sponsors and industry to better understand the tremendous talent and capabilities that exist across our states universities. By providing a comprehensive, easily navigated and public--facing presentation of our capabilities, this project has the obvious potential of attracting new financial sponsorship from government, private sector and nonprofit sources -- both foreign and domestic. Also, since its inception the Arizona Public Universities implementation of Elseviers Experts has been a collaboration with the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), which has partnered with the Arizona Board of Regents in providing continued annual subscription support. Project Tasks and Measurable Outcomes: Based on the continuation of the shared ABOR and ACA funding model already in place, this proposal would provide for an additional one--year renewal of the Arizona Public Universities Experts instance that would run from November 2014 through November 2015.
