In situ forming and resorbable antimicrobial-releasing gels for prevention of infection in total joint arthroplasty

Dr. Vernons lab will focus on injectable polymeric materials for drug delivery and tissue reconstruction. He will be responsible for direct supervision of the project work and coordination of the animal work between Arizona State University and Sonoran Biosciences. Dr. Vernon with the research team will also jointly analyze and interpret project data and begin the process of product development in preparation for Phase II.
