KAIBAB NATIONAL FOREST (USFS) ASU NVUM STUDY KAIBAB NATIONAL FOREST (USFS) ? ASU NVUM STUDY To better understand the amount of recreation use and user satisfaction on the national forests, the USDA Forest Service is surveying recreation visitors on all forests through the National Visitor Use Monitoring (NVUM) program. NVUM requires conducting random samples of national forest visitors, foot traffic, and vehicle traffic every five years. The Kaibab National Forest is being sampled during the fiscal year 2010, (Oct 1, 2009 -Sept 30, 2010).
