Description
The objective of this Army SBIR program is to perform fatigue experimentation and microstructural characterization on Inconel 718 coupons to determine the precursors that lead to structure damage and remaining service life. During the proposed 2 year effort, ASU will work with Luna and the Army Research Lab to develop a library of fatigued and thermo-mechanically fatigued coupons and correlate the results with microstructural analysis using TEM, SEM and confocal microscopy.
