Grant Details

Description

This project is to collaborate with ASUs Security and Defense Systems Initiative and its offcampus, higher-TRL, classified-capable, affiliated component (ASURE), and conduct research in response to the need of U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground (EPG). The research project is to develop an innovative open-architecture open-source tool for visualization and analysis of largescale network traffic data. The project also will develop a corresponding data translation capability that ensures compatibility of the network traffic analysis tool with EPG legacy data structures, while enabling the tool to make use of modern data structures that have been optimized in the data analytics research community to permit highly efficient analytics for arbitrarily large network traffic datasets. The project also proposes to implement an initial set of Test Event Virtual Observatory (TEVO) capabilities in this open-architecture network traffic analysis tool, to allow event reconstruction, playback, and other data analysis capabilities enabled by time-tagged data within EPGs network traffic datasets.
