Project: Research project

Grant Details

Description

In the third year of this PhysTEC project, many new items must be developed and implemented. Recruiting strategies, new courses, new curriculum, incorporation of a TIR, interactions with a TAG, a new mentoring plan, and data collection plans are the major challenging and exciting project activities that will be continued in Year 3. A new degree path, BS Physics with Concentration in Secondary Education, begins in Year 3. The new Sundial program, modeled after the UC-Berkeley Compass program, will be expanded with a college-funded two-week summer bridge program for incoming freshman. A new SCALE-UP classroom for physics majors course is scheduled to become available in August 2014.
