Grant Details
Description
The goal of this Phase II effort is to develop and demonstrate a software tool for a high fidelity probabilistic fatigue life prediction of composite aircraft components with a rigorous model fusion technique based on the Bayesian Maximum Entropy (BME) updating procedure. Three (3) tasks associated with module development and integration will be completed under the Year 1 program while two (2) tasks associated with experimental exploration and validation and demonstration will be completed under Year 2 program. The titles of these five (5) task components are Task 1 - Development of a High Fidelity FDAN Toolkit for Abaqus (Year 1) Task 2 - Development of a Reduced-Order Model of FDAN for SHM Data and Probabilistic Analysis (Year 1) Task 3 Development of PFDAN via an Advanced Probabilistic Integration with FDAN (Year 1) Task 4 Experimental Exploration and Validation of FDAN and PFDAN (Year 2) Task 5 Demonstration and Specifications for Phase III (Year 2)
