Description
Storied Places: Arizona, History and Acts of Recollection Storied Places: Arizona, History and Acts of Recollection Storied Places: Arizona, History and Acts of Recollection is a multi-faceted program developed by two ASU partners, the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy [CSRD] which is housed in the Office of the Provost and the Languages and Cultures [L&C] academic unit housed in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts. The CSRD and L&C Storied Places collaboration underscores the power of the humanities to bring communities together to think about the placeshistoric, contemporary, urban and ruralto which they share immediate, personal, generational and historic connection. The programming collaboration will highlight the revelatory and necessary ways in which we all might engage in acts of recollection. These acts may be efforts of recalling or efforts to literally re-collect understudied narratives and overlooked experiences.
