Abstract
Twenty-six scientists met in Washington DC on 6-7 April 2006 to discuss the risks that engineered nanoparticles may pose to human health. This interdisciplinary group worked with existing data to determine in detail the type of - and means of obtaining - information needed to improve our knowledge of the impact of nanoparticles in the body.
