Abstract

In this paper we demonstrate different techniques for 1 Tb/s QPSK-WDM-OFDM-PON optical power budget extension. Our simulation results show that EDFA outperforms SOA and yields more access budget. We present our simulation results for 64 customers with 0.625/40 Gb/s/λ guaranteed/peak bit rate downstream scenario.
