Abstract

An optical cross-point packet switch (OXS) matrix with minimized path-dependent optical gain was studied. The packet switching characteristics of the OXS were optimized based on active vertical coupler (AVC) switch cells. The results show that the device had minimized path-dependent transmission between the longest and the shortest paths.
