A meta-analysis on women's social network position: Does education help?

Abstract

We meta-analytically review studies on gender difference in individual central positions in organizational networks and examine the role of education in reducing potential disadvantages for women to have less central positions than men. Our results reveal that gender differences in brokerage position in organizational networks were moderated by women's education.
