Abstract
The method of fracture parameters determination in structural components is generalized for edge cracks on the basis of a problem of half-plane with edge crack within the accuracy sufficient in practice. It allows determination of stress intensity factor mode 1 and mode 2 to re-establish the stresses operating on the crack line before its initiation. A numerical experiment allowed to prove a choice of approximation of the loading function and a number of experimental points. This method is used for investigation of a plate with a radial crack, initiating from a hole, and of a supported by stringers panel with an edge crack.
