Research output: Patent

Abstract

The Shock-Lock, as the sensor is called, is constructed in such a way that the end user simply attaches the sensor to a product prior to transporting it to an intended consumer. In doing this the shock sensor will be able to report any g-force that may have caused damage to shipped goods. This will prevent damaged items from reaching its consumers and will save the producer millions of dollars that are lost yearly on items damaged while in transit. In addition to saving producers money, the Shock-Lock will also assist carriers in determining methods for improving environmental surroundings for minimizing potential damage to goods.
