A reconsideration of wild discourse response to Killingsworth and Owens

Abstract

Where to begin? First, let me cop a plea. I did not choose the original title of the transcribed interview, which was "The Quest for Truth: Max Oelschlaeger on Rhetoric and Wilderness." I'm all right with the "Rhetoric and Wilderness" bit. But the "Quest for Truth" phrase gives me concern. "Truth" has plenty of advocates. I'm more interested in changing the conversation, especially about wildness and wilderness.
