Abstract
Todd Ingalls is a media composer and designer as well as an associate research professor in the School of Arts Media and Engineering at Arizona State University. Exploring computer music and, in particular, interactive computer music with dance opened up whole new areas of interest for him around the ideas of embodiment, sound, and how we can interact with media. These interests have lead him to work in often large, complex projects that are highly collaborative and interdisciplinary. He is also involved in efforts to use interactive media in the areas of health and rehabilitation. This article describes some his example works in the realms of arts that focus on both interactive performance as well as work for public spaces and engagement.
