Abstract

The analytical expressions for all third-order aberration coefficients of quadrupole lenses with bell-shaped axial field distribution are calculated. The calculation is carried out for an astigmatic beam. The position of the object is at the focus of the converging plane. The aberration coefficients as functions of the excitation are presented graphically.
