Attractivity

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Chapter

Abstract

Attractivity comprises features or behaviors that evoke partner sexual responses. Proceptivity describes behaviors that initialize or maintain sexual interaction, whereas receptivity describes behaviors enabling sexual consummation. These functions overlap or interact in practice, and may be influenced by reproductive hormone levels, although less so among anthropoid primates, particularly humans.
