Abstract

In the previous chapter, we learned the definition of biosensor and two most popularly used transducers for biosensors: optical and electrochemical. In this chapter, we will learn about the biosensors with optical transducers, or simply optical biosensors, and how such optical biosensing can be demonstrated using a smartphone.
