Coded aperture spectroscopy with regularization via convex optimization

Abstract

Three coded aperture spectrometers are compared for performance. The classic understanding of performance under Poisson noise is shown to be incomplete through simulation. The slit spectrometer code is not the optimal code for compressible signals.
