Abstract

The lower colon of 3 ApcMin and 2 control mice was imaged with the optical coherence tomography (OCT). Serial images in the cancerous region of the ApcMin mouse differed considerably from the serial images in the non-cancerous control mouse based on thickening in the mucosal layer and the presence or absence of boundary lines. Emission spectra showed a pronounced peak at 680 nm not significantly present in the normal mice.
