Abstract
Dear Editor of Materialia, The authors recently published the paper entitled “Multi–length scale characterization of point defects in thermally oxidized, proton irradiated iron oxides” by Ho Lun Chan, Rasheed Auguste, Elena Romanovskaia, Angelica Lopez Morales, Franziska Schmidt, Valentin Romanovski, Christopher Winkler, Jie Qiu, Yongqiang Wang, Djamel Kaoumi, Farida A Selim, Blas P Uberuaga, Peter Hosemann, John R Scully, in Materialia. Unfortunately, the authors discovered several errors within the paper and need to publish a corrigendum to rectify the mistakes. Please find below a list of errors associated with our paper. 1) The author list is incomplete, we neglected to include co-authors who were instrumental in taking and analyzing the positron data presented in the paper. We request the addition of the authors M. O. Liedke, M. Butterling, E. Hirschmann, A. Wagner with the affiliation: Institute of Radiation Physics, Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, Bautzner Landstr. 400, 01328 Dresden, Germany: Therefore, we would like to change the author list to: Ho Lun Chan, Rasheed Auguste, Elena Romanovskaia, Angelica Lopez Morales, Maciej Oskar Liedke, Franziska Schmidt, Maik Butterling, Valentin Romanovski, Christopher Winkler, Jie Qiu, Yongqiang Wang, Djamel Kaoumi, Farida A Selim, Blas P Uberuaga, Eric Hirschmann, Andreas Wagner, Peter Hosemann, John R Scully2) Correspondingly, we would like to modify the acknowledgements to include: Parts of this research were carried out at 398 ELBE at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR), a 399 member of the Helmholtz Association. We would like to thank the 400 facility staff (Ahmed G. Attallahfor their 401 assistance. This work was partially supported by the Impulse-und 402 Net-working fund of the Helmholtz Association (No. FKZ 403 VH-VI-442 Memriox) and the Helmholtz Energy Materials 404 Characterization Platform (No. 03ET7015)3) Finally, in the sentence “quantifying the relative tungsten concentration of each defect type” the word tungsten needs to be deleted. All current authors agree to that change. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
