Abstract

A theoretical model of the disturbances generated by the vibrations of the streamlined surface in the boundary layer is discussed. The analysis was performed with the aid of the expansion of the solution in eigenfunctions of linearized Navier-Stokes equations with nonparallelism of the flow in a real boundary layer taken into account. High efficiency of the excitation of Tollmien-Schlichting (TS) waves has been found.
