Abstract
The paper examines research into forestry applications of three NASA-sponsored remote sensing programs: Landsat, Skylab, and the Earth Resources Survey Program, and looks at Space Shuttle, which has remote sensing as a part of its program. Of the three remote sensing programs examined, the high-altitude aircraft photography of the Earth Resources Survey Program appears to have the greatest utility to managers of forest lands.
