Abstract
We begin this introduction with a framing discussion, providing a summary of the diverse theories that have impacted the history of feminist philosophy. We make note of both the differences and the critical commonalties that exist between feminist positions. After moving to a discussion of the history of rhetoric and composition's uneasy relationship to such feminist theories, we explore the latest trends in feminist thinking and rhetoric and composition as a discipline as well as the connections between such trends and the unique offerings of Fractured Feminisms. Finally, we furnish a rationale for this volume and present an overview of the compelling texts you will find here. We indicate how they extend and augment the decisive conversation about potential links between feminisms and rhetoric and composition.
