Abstract

The presence of groupware and the need for group-enabled modeling and simulation (M&S) environments were discussed. A discussion of group-enabled technologies was given within the context of a distributed-view of modeling. The principle of how a group-enabled environment can support elevating IDEF0 models into discrete event system specification (DEVS) models detached from their physical structure was also discussed.
