Abstract

Recently a new bronchoscopic device has been designed, built, and successfully r143w3 =flap used to localize visually occult bronchogenic lung cancer. The technique involves a photoelectric fluorescence detector, the probe of which is inserted into the smaller channel of a standard double lumen bronchoscope. This apparatus enables the endoscopist to perform routine, white-light bronchoscopy while simultaneously listening to an audio signal that indicates the presence of HPD fluorescence.
