title = "Injecting a pulsed YAG laser beam into a fiber",
abstract = "A system has been built and is now being tested that can inject a very high power. pulsed yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) laser beam into a multimode fiber without damaging the fiber. This design is quite tolerant to changes in the laser beam quality and alignment errors, thereby making the system largely maintenance free. This beam-injection architecture is expected to be useful for medical and industrial applications.",
