Abstract
This article reports on the collaborative journal review of an online professional community that was established to prepare this special edition for publication. The focus is on how Web 2.0 technology can be used to support a professional journal review community and to enhance active social interaction among reviewers. The theme of this special edition is dedicated to Web 2.0 while the entire editing and reviewing processes integrated Web 2.0 tools to accomplish the tasks through an online professional learning community. Reviewers agreed that integrating Web 2.0 technology has value to facilitate an online professional community. Issues of trust, professional relationships, and authority relationships emerged from this examination, and they should be pondered further to obtain a better understanding in building and developing a knowledge‐centered community.
