Abstract

A computational fluid dynamics program, FLUENT V4, was used to determine ventilation rates and air flow patterns of a multi-span sawtooth greenhouse for various roof and side vent openings and outside wind speeds. The combined effects of roof and windward side openings resulted in ventilation rates up to four times standard fan recommendations. The program adequately, simulated previous wind tunnel and computational studies of natural ventilation designs.
