Abstract

This paper reports a spectroscopic study of the local atomic order in Ge-rich alloys of Ge//1// minus //xS//x and Ge//1// minus //xSe//x (x less than 0. 67). A relation between the range of bulk-glass formation and the existence of unique chemically-ordered local atomic clusters is discussed.
