Abstract
A modified version of the wavenumber integral approach is applied to the calculation of the surface motion produced in a multilayered half space by a point dislocation. A new method of pole removal is introduced to facilitate separation of the continuous (body wave) and the discrete (surface wave) spectral responses of the medium.
