Abstract
This chapter is a review of selected important papers which represent the current understanding of granite pegmatites. The micas are the third most important group after feldspars and quartz. This paper provides a general review of the mica parageneses and polytypic relationships in different classes and types of pegmatites. Their geochemical evolution is also covered.-K.A.R.
