Abstract
ISO 9000 is a series of five international quality standards developed by the Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in Geneva, Switzerland to help companies define what a quality system should do. It is a check list for doing business at a world class level. They are ISO 9000, 9001, 9002, 9003, and 9004. While ISO-9000 and 9004 are basic guidelines, ISO 9001, 9002, and 9003 are conformation guidelines to be used by companies for contractual purposes.
