Quantum-limited Optical Super-resolution Imaging of Multiple Point-sources

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

We exploit the quantum parameter estimation approach proposed by Personick [1] to develop a Bayesian adaptive sequential measurement scheme to estimate the number, brightness and location of point sources in a constellation. We demonstrate that the proposed measurement scheme outperforms the traditional diffraction-limited imaging in the deep sub-Rayleigh regime.
