Abstract

We present a systematic study on the time dynamics of the two-color emission from a vertical-external-cavity surface-emitting laser. By using a streak camera, time- and frequencyresolved images of the VECSEL emission are acquired. Stable and unstable regimes are identified via a statistical analysis. Furthermore, the influence of additional intracavity losses on the two-color emission is investigated.
