Abstract

This protocol provides the information necessary to experimentally test rodents on the Morris maze task assessing spatial reference memory. Apparatus setup, step-by-step test procedures, and performance quantification procedures are specified, detailed, and discussed. Examples of peer-reviewed published research literature using these procedures are also provided.
