Abstract

A linear cavity vertical external cavity surface emitting laser is utilized for generation of Hermite-Gaussian and Laguerre-Gaussian transverse modes. The intracavity mode control along with an external astigmatic mode converter allows production of various Watt-level output power beams of high transverse order at ∼1070 nm.
